Nesher has invested over 500 million dollars since 1995 in upgrading its production infrastructure, in order to make the manufacturing process more efficient and environmentally friendly.

As a part of a global trend to reduce the environmental impacts of cement manufacturing, Nesher is developing capabilities to manufacture reduced clinker cements.

The cement industry requires long-term vision; the construction and operation of cement plants necessitate unique infrastructures both in terms of the construction methods and the substantial costs involved in the construction of the production plants, and in terms of the operations, requiring access to natural raw materials and energy.

Nesher’s management sees environmental protection as a core value and directs its development activities accordingly, by setting quantitative goals and environmental performance indicators.
